The National Geographic Society headquarters located at 1156 16th Street NW in Washington, D.C. The neoclassical original building, Hubbard Memorial Hall, was constructed in 1902 and designed by Hornblower & Marshall. A Renaissance Revival addition (pictured) designed by Arthur B. Heaton was built in 1913. Heaton also designed the adjoining neoclassical administrative building that was completed in 1932. Both buildings are contributing properties to the Sixteenth Street Historic District.
