Software — documentation for non-FOSS programs, one page per program. Facts live in the [[Item:|items]]; pages read them at view time. Free & open-source software has its own hub: FOSS:Main.

Adding software

Use Special:AddSoftware (search Wikidata or GitHub, or the manual path Special:AddSoftware/manual). The form's Page kind radio decides where the page lands: a free/open-source license defaults to the FOSS: namespace, anything else to the Software: namespace — you can override it per create. The item's class follows the page kind (free and open-source software for FOSS: pages, software for Software: pages).

Every software page is built from Template:FOSS or Template:Software (banner + infobox) — see Help:Contributing/semanticDynamicContent for how the infobox reads the item.
